joel, beth, and some other folks went out to new zealand to participate in a live action lord of the rings. there weren't any of the characters from the original story, just some evil king and queen, some other minor characters and a giant. the giant was terrifying, but we managed to defeat it and the king and queen. this all took place in the upstairs of a house. i think we actaully killed the giant. we had to use all of our strength to do it, and felt very accomplished when we at last had defeated him. once that was done we headed for the airport. we stopped at a shopping plaza and some guy in a truck tried to sell me the new zealand coldplay cd. i didn't want it and he became very irate with me. we continued on to the airport, happy and excited to come back to new zealand some day soon.
