"I like your makeup!"

A friend (possibly Emily?) told me they "liked my eye shadow". I wasn't wearing any and told them so. They were suprised to learn that it was only dark circles *above* my eyes, and not beneath. It made me feel weird that they (the above-my-eyes circles) were so noticeable.
